Study in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan is home to nearly 5,000 Indian medical students. NMC-approved institutes have no donation or capitation fees. Medical degrees are recognised by USMLE, NMC, WHO, and GMC. Affordable hostel charges and cost of living combined with a simple admission process make Kazakhstan a strong contender for MBBS abroad. The country offers a credit-hour system and modern teaching hospitals.

Student visa

Indian students need a student visa for Kazakhstan, issued on the basis of an admission or invitation letter from the university. Apply through the Embassy of Kazakhstan in New Delhi. Documents, medical tests and fees change from time to time, so confirm the current requirements with the embassy before applying.

Planning MBBS in Kazakhstan? Check NMC rules first

To practise in India, the programme must meet the National Medical Commission's Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate Regulations, 2021 — at least 54 months of study, a 12-month internship at the same institution, teaching in English and NEET UG qualification before admission — and you must later pass the NMC licensing exam. Check the specific university and programme, not just the country.
