Study in Bangladesh
Bangladesh offers a cost-to-quality balance with 25 government and 50+ private medical colleges, many reserving 25–40% seats for foreign students. Cultural similarity, availability of Indian food, no language barrier, and geographical proximity make it comfortable for Indian students. Over 5,000 Indian students choose Bangladesh annually. NMC has recognised 13 colleges; high FMGE/NExT pass rates due to the Indian-similar curriculum.

Student visa
Indian students need a student visa for Bangladesh, issued on the basis of an admission or invitation letter from the university. Apply through the Embassy of Bangladesh in New Delhi. Documents, medical tests and fees change from time to time, so confirm the current requirements with the embassy before applying.
Planning MBBS in Bangladesh? Check NMC rules first
To practise in India, the programme must meet the National Medical Commission's Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate Regulations, 2021 — at least 54 months of study, a 12-month internship at the same institution, teaching in English and NEET UG qualification before admission — and you must later pass the NMC licensing exam. Check the specific university and programme, not just the country.
