The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025 is the sole gateway for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, and B.Sc Nursing admissions across India. Over 22 lakh registrations are expected.

- **Exam Date:** First Sunday of May 2025 (tentative)
- **Mode:** Pen-and-paper (OMR-based), 3 hours 20 minutes
Syllabus Update
NTA has aligned NEET UG 2025 syllabus with updated NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks (2023-24 editions). Candidates must use the official NTA syllabus document.
Exam Pattern
NEET UG comprises 200 questions (180 to be attempted): Physics (50), Chemistry (50), Biology/Zoology+Botany (100). Scoring: +4 correct, -1 wrong. Total: 720 marks.
Seat Availability in 2025
India has approximately 1,08,940 MBBS seats across government and private medical colleges. AIIMS institutions (21 campuses) offer an additional 1,899 seats. Competition remains extremely high with only 1 in 18 candidates securing a seat.
