Following extensive feedback from universities and students, NTA has announced significant changes to CUET 2026.
Major Changes in CUET 2026
1. **Hybrid Mode:** Offline (OMR) option for 10 high-demand subjects
2. **Streamlined Papers:** Reduced from 63 to 37 test papers
3. **Single Sitting:** All papers for a student on same day (from 2026)
4. **Revised Syllabus:** Better alignment with NCERT textbooks
5. **New Subjects Added:** Environmental Studies, Performing Arts
Universities Accepting CUET 2026
- All 54 Central Universities (mandatory)
- 100+ State Universities (optional but increasing)
- 200+ Private Universities (growing list)
Delhi University Specific
DU admissions will be 100% based on CUET 2026 scores. The college and course-specific merit cutoffs will be published on DU's portal.
