Key Dates - **Registration Start:** April 2025 - **Exam Dates:** April 2025 (CBT mode) - **Result Declaration:** Within 3-4 weeks of exam
Exam Pattern JEE Main Paper 1 consists of 90 questions across Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each subject has 20 MCQ questions (+4/-1 marking) and 10 integer-type questions (no negative marking). Total: 300 marks, 3 hours.
Eligibility Candidates must have passed Class 12 with PCM with minimum 75% aggregate (65% for SC/ST/PwD). No age limit for JEE Main from 2024 onwards.
Improvement Strategy for Session 2 - **Mock tests:** Attempt at least 10 full-length mocks before Session 2 - **Previous year papers:** Solve the last 10 years of JEE Main papers - **Weak areas:** Use Session 1 data to identify weaker topics - **Time management:** Practice solving 90 questions in 180 minutes
NTA considers the best of the two session scores for merit list preparation, giving candidates an advantage of two attempts.
