The Department of Science and Technology of the Govt. of India has recognized the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum (Also known as SCTIMST TRIVANDRUM) as an institute of national importance by an Act of Parliament when it was provided with the status of a University in 1980. Sree Chitra Institute of Medical Science courses includes only PG courses such as M.Tech, Diploma, PG Diploma, MD, etc. The students, who have secured a minimum of 60% in their UG or PG exams can choose from a variety of masters’ and doctorate courses in the medical field and apply online for admission to the institute.
