Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre (SYVC) has been teaching yoga since 1987 in Trivandrum. The center is centrally located in the city which is behind the Padmanabhaswamy Temple in west fort. It is a part of International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers (ISYVC) which is a non-profit organization run by voluntary staff and dedicated to the aim of disseminating the knowledge of yoga. The center is following the ancient discipline of yoga practice by Sri Swami Vishnudevananda the founder of the center who is the foremost disciples of Sri Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh.
