PES University was established in 1972 as the PES Institute of Technology, later renamed in 2013. The university is located in Bangalore, Karnataka, and is recognized by UGC and the Government of Karnataka. PES (People’s Education Society) University is a private university accredited by NAAC and approved by AICTE. The university is spread over an area of 30 acres. It has been ranked 134th in India by Collegedunia in the engineering category in 2025. PES University is ranked in the 101-150 band in the engineering category by NIRF in 2024
