North Malabar Institute of Technology (NMIT), the first Engineering College in Kerala which started implementing Academic Audit System. It was established in 2012 by the North Malabar Educational and Charitable Trust which is a group of visionaries from North Malabar and their friends and relatives whose motto is to provide true engineering values. The college offers B.TECH courses in as many as five branches. The college is affiliated to Kannur University.
