National Institute of Technology Hamirpur is an autonomous institute established in 1986 and approved by both the UGC & AICTE. Additionally, its undergraduate and postgraduate engineering programs are accredited by NBA(National Board of Accreditation). In 2025, Collegedunia ranked NIT Hamirpur 72nd out of 762 colleges in India. As per the NIRF 2024 report, NIT Hamirpur was placed in the 101-150 band rank in the Engineering category and 32nd in the Architecture category. It is one of India’s 31 National Institutes of Technology.
