National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Guwahati is the fifth institute to be included in the list of the seven prominent NIPERs under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. It was established in September 2008 at Changsari, Assam, under the mentorship of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. NIPER Guwahati is ranked 12th in India in the Pharmacy Category by NIRF in 2023.
