National Institute of Design (NID), Kurukshetra, also referred to as NID Haryana is an autonomous institute for Design Education and Research established in 2016 under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Recognized as an Institute of National Importance, NID Kurukshetra has been ranked 8th in India for Design by IIRF Ranking 2024. The institute currently offers a full-time four-year Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program in three specializations namely Communication Design, Industrial Design, and Textile & Apparel Design. Admission to B.Des at NID Haryana is based on the score obtained by the candidates in the NID Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT) which has two stages namely DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.
