National Institute of Design (NID), Assam, also known as NID Jorhat, is an autonomous Institution of National Importance established in 2019 under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. NID Assam has been ranked 13th in India for Design by IIRF Ranking 2024. The institute offers a Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program in the field of Design Education for a duration of 4 Years in three specializations namely Industrial Design, Communication Design, and Textile & Apparel Design.
