Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) is one of the six institutes of Banaras Hindu University, established in 1960 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, recognized and approved by the Medical Council of India. IMS BHU offers medical education under its three major faculties, namely Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dental Sciences, and Faculty of Ayurveda. The institute also has a college of nursing, which is amongst the premier and prestigious nursing institutes in India.
