Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhopal (IISER Bhopal) is an independent research centre that offers graduate, undergraduate, and research programmes. It is one of the top five IISERs. It was established in 2008, by the Indian government in Bhauri, Bhopal. IISER Bhopal offers BS, BS-MS (Dual Degree), M.Sc, Integrated Ph.D. and Ph.D. courses. There are 10 departments and 3 Centres of Excellence in the institute. IISER Bhopal campus is spread over an area of 200 acres. The institution has a gender ratio of 2:1 (M: F).
