IIT Jammu, established in 2016, is an autonomous public higher education institute. It was developed under the mentorship of IIT Delhi. It is accredited by AICTE and recognized by the UGC. It is also recognized as an Institute of National Importance. IIT Jammu NIRF Ranking was 62 out of 300 engineering colleges in 2024.
