Government Polytechnic Dhanbad was established in 1998 at Dhanbad, Jharkhand. The Institute only provides Diploma Courses with specializations namely: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. Admissions into the institution are done on the basis of the Entrance Exam for all the Courses. The list of students received from JCECE decides the admission of the Candidates. The main objective of the Institute is to provide all the facilities to the students where the students can learn to face the challenges in life.
