B K Mercantile Bank Law College, Palanpur was established in 1998 by Banaskantha District Kelavani Mandal. Banaskantha District Kelavani Mandal has been making serious efforts to cater to the needs of higher education in this backward district of Banaskantha. The vision of the college is to establish and maintain a center for motivating, training, research, awareness, excellence and innovation in legal education with a view to developing and sustaining professionals in legal field and inculcating the spirit of the Constitution, Scientific temper, Secularism and Rule of Law amongst them. The main objective of the college is to establish legal aid centers to provide legal aid, to make people aware about their legal rights to sensitize the society about human rights and create awareness about environment and women empowerment and to help generate resources for social and economic development of the community people of this backward district.
