Established in 1943, B. Borooah College is one of the earliest and prestigious co-educational colleges situated in Guwahati in the state of Assam, which was named after the most respected and prominent person of Assamese business Bholanath Borooah. This college grew under the circumstances of World War II. With the support of B. Borooah College Teacher’s Unit (BBCTU) which is a constituent unit of Assam College Teachers Unit (ACTU) the college has been carrying out various plans and programmes for the welfare and overall progress and development of the college and students as well.
