Anurag University, Hyderabad, runs under the Gayathri Educational and Cultural Trust (GECT). The trust was founded in the year 1998 by Lalitha Degree and PG College. The academic journey progressed with the establishment of CVSR College of Technology in 2002 and Lalitha College of Pharmacy in 2005, culminating in the formation of Anurag Group of Institutions in 2010. In 2020, the institution achieved university status, becoming one of the first state private universities in Telangana, with a mission to shape future leaders and changemakers.
