Acharya Nagarjuna University was established in 1976 by the former President of India, Shri Fakruddin Ali Ahmed in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The university offers 68 undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of Engineering, Sciences, Arts, Pharmacy, Sports and Architecture. It also provides M.Phil and Ph.D in 48 disciplines spread over six campus colleges. It has 450 affiliated colleges in Krishna, Guntur and Prakasm Districts. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded Acharya Nagarjuna University an “A” grade. It is spread over an area of 300 acres. There are 5000 students enrolled in the university. Acharya Nagarjuna University is ranked 63rd in the Pharmacy Category by NIRF Ranking 2023. The university is focused on research with 66 patents, 200+ projects and more than 15000 research publications. The institute also offers distance education through ANUCDE.
